Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar and Grog Grotto

One of our favorite Disneyland Resort attractions is Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar. It sits in the middle of the Disneyland Hotel and is a lot of Disney magic outside of the main theme parks. Evoking Tiki culture and details from Disneyland's and Disney World's Adventureland in a family friendly environment that is detailed, enchanting, and entertaining.

I know it's weird to hear the words "family friendly" and "bar" in the same sentence but it's true. While I don't have little ones, I think it's pretty great that parents can take their kids into this establishment and enjoy a drink or two while the little ones also have options to enjoy as well. I also enjoy that it plays up the adults as well and we can enjoy a place that is not always packed with kids and still has Disney magic packed to the gills.

We try to frequent the bar as often as possible. Usually arriving to packed tables with groups waiting for seats in the evening air. During the day, however, we sometimes find the bar practically to ourselves and this is even more wonderful. The skippers are great, the bar tenders are wonderful and the bar is always in top form.

We have a few favorite drinks and love the effects they have in the bar, which puts on a show when certain drinks are ordered.

Trader Sam's also serves up a little menu of pickings and has treats that are especial to some seasons.
(EDIT: New drink's announced!)

Recently announced, Polynesian Village in Walt Disney World will be getting it's own Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto in 2015!

These bars are amazing and hark back to original Disney entertainment that we all know and love. We are all super excited to see the new bar opening in 2015 and continue to look forward to the awesomeness of the original Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar.

Cheers!
